NHS St Helens CCG and the Council’s public health team are running a number of community engagement sessions next week with clinicians and commissioners updating on key health and social care issues in St Helens.
The Talkfest sessions which run during w/c 5th October are also our opportuniy to listen to feedback and answer questions on what matters to residents:
The topics covered will include:
- Access to NHS services and how GP practices are now operating, importance of getting any lumps or bumps checked out
- Covid-19 update
- Winter health - including flu vaccination programme and the NHS 111 First programme coming in November in St Helens.
These sessions usually take place across the borough as face to face meetings but due to Covid-19 they are running them as virtual sessions on Microsoft Teams.
Anyone who doesn’t have access to Microsoft Teams can use a Freephone telephone number to dial in. Once a place is booked via the access invite and the number to call will be provided.
NHS St Helens CCG Engagement Manager, Paul Steele, said: “Talkfest is our way of updating the public on what is happening in health and care and engaging with as many different communities in St Helens as we can - including voluntary sector organisations, schools, workplaces and community groups. We want as many members of the public as possible to sign up to take part, ask questions and get involved in how we develop health and social care services in the borough both now and in the future.”
