NHS St Helens CCG supports the role of apprentices within the workplace.

This week allows both employees and apprentices to celebrate the success of apprenticeships whilst helping to promote and encourage even more people to get involved and train on the job across the country creating opportunities for themselves and employers.

This year the theme set by the government is "Apprenticeships Work" where it plans to demonstrate how apprenticeships work for

  • Individuals
  • Employees
  • Community
  • Wider Economy

Holly D’Arcy, Apprentice at NHS St Helens CCG stated “ I have chosen to do this apprenticeship because it is a great opportunity for me and my future, the apprenticeship helps me learn different aspects of business admin used in the CCG, I am also learning why I am earning my own wage and by the end of the apprenticeship I will have my level 2 business administration and one years’ worth of experience at a very complex workplace!”

At St Helens CCG, we believe schemes like this truly benefit both the apprentice and the CCG. Holly has become an integral part of the Corporate Governance team, allowing us to work more efficiently with her support. It is also great to see a young person develop into in role, especially within this fast paced organisation.
